Civil War Buford "There's the Devil to Pay"

"There's the Devil to Pay" An American Civil War collectible, "There's the Devil to Pay," by Mort Kunstler. As the fighting at Gettysburg began, General John Buford picked the most defensible position for the Federal army and managed to hold it throughout the battle. The excellent print is highlighted by skillful mat cutting that draws attention to the brass crossed swords like those which would be worn on the cap of a Civil War calvaryman. The oak framed picture, with glass, measures 15 1/2 by 12 1/2. It is matted using three mat colors and has a 1/8 inch cut-out line that highlights everything in the picture. The authentic Civil War Centennial Gettysburg stamp was issued June 29, 1995.
